A limitation of your existence

Today, I saw this print for the first time and it gripped my heart and mind powerfully.

Especially because, I had already been contemplating a conversation from yesterday when they likened their situation to a bird unable to fly. Our father used to say, "you'll get your wings clipped!" Life has a way of doing that. Leaving us unable to fly or bolted to a carousel floor.

Dad meant, "you'll stay home or do without something."

Clipping a bird's wings means cutting the primary wing feathers (typically every few months) so the bird is not flight capable.

Metaphorically having our wings clipped (severely or repeatedly) or being bolted to a carousel floor means we can't fly or run whereby unable to fully live life abundantly and/or freely flourish in the areas of our abilities, skills, passions or expertise.

A book, The Shack reads this:

"...birds were created to fly.Being grounded for them is a limitation within their ability to fly,

not the other way around. You, on the other hand, were created to be loved. So for you to live

as if you were unloved is a limitation, not the other way around. Living unloved is like

clipping a bird’s wings and removing its ability to fly.Not something I want for you. Pain has a

way of clipping our wings and keeping us from being able to fly.And if left unresolved for

very long, you can almost forget that you were ever created to fly in the first place.”

You were created to live abundantly, fly high and freely flourish but, most of all you are meant to know you are LOVED.

No more wing clipping! Undo the bolts that hold you back!

There is THE WAY to soar like eagles and THE TRUTH will set you free.
